    TIM MCGRAW TO RELEASE NUMBER ONE HITS. Tim McGraw has announced he will be releasing a double-disc compilation titled Number One Hits. The album will have 24 tracks ranging from his first number one “Don’t Take The Girl” to his latest “Southern Voice.” There will also be a bonus track – a dance mix of the song “Indian Outlaw.”  The album will be released on November 30th and the track listing includes:

    BILLBOARD PREDICTS LADY ANTEBELLUM’S GRAMMY NOMINATIONS. Billboard.com recently conducted a survey with record executives and industry observers about their predictions for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, and according to the results, many are predicting Lady Antebellum will lead the nominations. The trio’s single “Need You Now” is expected to be nominated for Song of the Year, and Lady A’s sophomore album Need You Now is anticipated to receive nominations forRecord of the Year and Album of the Year. The nominees will be announced on December 1st during the third annual Grammy Nominations Concert Live!: Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night concert. The show will air on CBS February 13th.

     

    KEITH URBAN OFFERS OPPORTUNITIES TO WINNERS OF NATIONAL COMPETITION. Keith Urban will play on a single released by the winner of a talent competition sponsored by the Guitar Center retail chain. Aimed at unsigned artists, the company's Your Next Record contest provides the winner with an opportunity to record a three-song EP with a top producer and have Keith make a guest appearance on the single. The prize package also includes musical merchandise, product endorsement deals, and an opening slot at one of Keith's concerts. Keith said, "I'm always ready to do whatever it takes to give aspiring musicians the chance to do what they love, I think we've all heard someone whose musical talents blow us away and sometimes all that stands between their garage and an arena is a chance." The contest continues through November 30th and for more . information fans can visit GuitarCenter.com.

     

    LADY ANTEBELLUM’S HILLARY SCOTT GETS IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT ON NEW ALBUM. Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott will be featured on Nashville singer/songwriter Dave Barnes upcoming Christmas album. The song “Christmas Tonight” will be a duet shared between the two singers. Dave has en extensive resume opening for Lady A, Dierks Bentley, and Taylor Swift, and has also written multiple songs from many country artists including Billy Currington. Hillary said, “Dave Barnes is one of the sweetest and most talented guys I know.” The album Very Merry Christmas will be released November 9th.

    TAYLOR SWIFT’S HIGH SCHOOL NAMES AUDITORIUM IN HER HONOR. Taylor Swift’s former high school, Henderson High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, will name its auditorium in her honor. Meeting Tuesday night the Sumner County School Board voted unanimously in favor of the name change. It will become official following the formality of second vote on October 19th. Taylor studied at the school during her freshman and sophomore years, prior to releasing her 2006 debut album. She donated 75-thousand dollars to the school in 2009 to update the sound and lighting systems in the auditorium, where she often performed as a student. School board chairman Don Long said Taylor did not request changing the auditorium's name.

     

    KENNY CHESNEY DOES NOT PROCRASTINATE. Although official tour dates haven’t been announced, Kenny Chesney is expected to kick off his 2011 summer tour in late Spring. That’s more than seven months from now but Kenny has been working on his stage design for several months already. He says when you’re putting together something so big and detailed, there’s no room for procrastination. (Cut #2) “You can’t go up there startin’ of spring and expect to take this show out on the road and start in January or December, putting it together. You have to start now.” Stay tuned to CMT for tour dates when Kenny announces them. Kenny’s CMT Invitation Onlyspecial premieres Monday night at 10 PM Eastern. Kenny’s highly anticipated album Hemingway’s Whiskey will be available this Tuesday.

     

    NICOLE KIDMAN IS “IN” WITH KEITH URBAN’S RECENT HIT. Keith Urban’s smash hit, “I’m In” was written by singer/songwriter Radney Foster who admits he has Keith’s wife Nicole Kidman to thank for getting the song cut. While Nicole was on an eight hour drive to film the movie Australia, Keith gave her multiple compilation CDs to listen to, and she couldn’t get “I’m In” out of her head, Radney said Nicole told Keith, “Hey that’s a really sexy song. You should do that song.” Radney’s songs have also been covered by artists including Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan, and many others. Keith’s upcoming album Get Closer hits stores November 16th.

    MIRANDA LAMBERT MAKES A SURPRISE VISIT TO HER HIGH SCHOOL. Miranda Lambert who graduated from Lindale High School in Texas made a surprise visit to her old stomping grounds yesterday to hand out several “Thank You’s” to Lindale ISD campuses. The “Thank You’s” where in response to LISD’s efforts in the Nickels for Nashville campaign where the campuses raised money to support recovery efforts in Nashville after the flood in May. Students and faculty members raised over 3-thousand dollars for the community, which was presented as a surprise to Miranda during her Cause for the Paws concert in May. Miranda presented a frame and autographed photos to each LISD campus. Miranda will kick off the CMT On Tour: Miranda Lambert Revolution 2010 with special guests Eric Church and Josh Kelley, in New York on September 29th.

     

    TAYLOR SWIFT TAKES ON THE BIG SCREEN, AGAIN. Taylor Swift has been spotted on set of the upcoming film Todd vs. High School. The film centers around a genius student who is kicked-out of several schools before returning to high school to get his degree. This is Taylor’s second movie role – the first being Valentine’s Day. The official release date for Todd vs. High School has not been announced, but it was originally scheduled to be released this fall.

     

    KENNY CHESNEY TAKES OVER WALMART’S SOUNDCHECK STAGE. Kenny Chesney recently taped an exclusive performance for Walmart’s Sounccheck where he reveals why he named his album Hemingway’s Whiskey, and he opens up about his football experience. In the video, Kenny also discusses his current single, “The Boys of Fall,” and how he has changed since his hit “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem.” Fans can watch Kenny’s special performance at walmart.com/soundcheck.
