ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions search for a new head coach continued yesterday with interviews with Winston Moss and Pat Shurmur. Moss is currently the linebackers and assistant head coach with the Green Bay Packers. He played in the NFL for 11 years and since 1998 has coached with Seattle, New Orleans and Green Bay.
Shurmur is offensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings. He has previously coached for the Eagles and Rams and was the Browns head coach from 2011-12 and interim head coach in Philadelphia 2013-15.
Former Lions Coach Marty Mornhinweg is returning as the Ravens’ offensive coordinator. Baltimore struggled during Mornhinweg’s first season at the helm, finishing 27th overall and 29th in passing, though, it did improve down the stretch.
The Ravens averaged an AFC-best 29.4 points since Week 8, with only the Rams at 29.5 putting up more in that span.
