Broncos welcome Kent State to Robert J. Bobb Stadium Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Western Michigan baseball team is hosting Kent State this weekend, May 10-12.  The series begins Friday at Robert J. Bobb Stadium and will celebrate Alumni Day on Saturday.

LHP Steve Laudicina (2-8, 3.70 ERA) vs. RHP Taylor Williams (8-1, 2.37 ERA)
LHP Derek Schneider (1-2, 6.84 ERA) vs. RHP Tyler Skulina (4-3, 3.96 ERA)
LHP Mike Moyer (3-5, 4.29 ERA) vs. RHP Casey Wilson (5-5, 4.56 ERA)

Western Michigan closes out the 2013 season with an eight-game homestand, which began Tuesday against Michigan State ... following the Kent State series, WMU will host Notre Dame Tuesday, May 14, in non-conference action and finishes out the year with a three-game series against Central Michigan, May 16-18.

Western Michigan is coming off a close 5-4 midweek loss to Michigan State and the Broncos went 1-2 last weekend at Akron ... WMU is batting .254 (.268 in MAC contests) and has a 5.16 staff ERA (5.11 MAC) ... the team is 13-2 when leading after seven innings, but has had trouble hanging onto leads in the middle innings, being outscored 75-38 in the fifth and sixth innings combined.
