The 4th Annual Leilapalooza Is Happening Saturday

by Kim Brixton

Three weeks ago I visited the lush grounds of Leila Arboretum and said to myself, "Self, you'll be back here on Saturday, July 26th for what's becoming to be, a legendary music festival that will have something for everyone."

Leilapalooza is a one day music festival held on the beautiful grounds of the Battle Creek Leila Arboretum. Supported by the City of Battle Creek, Calhoun County, The Battle Creek Metropolitan Area Mustache Society and others.

The family friendly Leilapalooza i s a fund raising event for the Leila Arboretum Society and Kingman Museum in Battle Creek Michigan.

While I'm there, (from 7:30- 9:30) I'll be able to enjoy the performances of Scott Clevenger, a nd

Erika Scherry And The Swift Kick Band on The Fountain Stage presented by WIN 98-5. (Showtime 9:30---Scott is on just before Erika) There will be a registration box near the stage area for your chance to win tickets to see Trace Adkins in Fort Wayne.

Two AWESOME elements to this festival:

1) IT'S FREE!!!

2) PROCEEDS FROM PARKING AND VENDORS GO RIGHT BACK TO THE LEILA (FOOD AND BEV'S WILL BE AVAILABLE)

Oh, yeah, another awesome feature to the festival---there's something for everyone.

Whether you fancy country, big band, loud/in your face rock -----or----- high energy rock with lyrics that everyone can relate to.
