Is it just us? What was that U-F-O...

by David Kuharski

So the story goes that Julie and I were driving down to the Twin Cities this weekend to see family!  We packed our mini iceberg, er uh... Chevy passenger van ... (it's a blessing, a very large blessing) ... loaded the kids and Grandma and went to see my folks and her grandpa.  Tooling down I-35 our 2nd youngest Adam became disgruntled.  For whatever reason, I think it had to do with the old 'I drop my toy--I cry--You pick it up--and I drop it again and CRY some more!'  But when Adam cries, he very well might throw what you give him.  That's just what he did, he tossed his sandal over his shoulder at his sister Sadie, wonking her in the head.  Better yet, when I put his shoes back on (at a gas station, potty break) he slides them off AGAIN!  Well, not to be topped, my 2nd oldest Keith notoriously takes his shoes off--no matter where he's at.  So, when we stop and he has to go to the bathroom, we're frantically looking for his shoes too!  The cherry on top happens when Emelia-Rose, one of our twins, who LOVES shoes--takes hers off too!

So, my question to parents is... do your kids take their shoes off too?  Have you had to go back to parks, malls, stores in search of that one size 6 Buster Brown?

Just curious...
