The news Sunday evening that Mindy McCready had taken her life really brought me a rush of emotions.  Sadness for a lady who such had a beautiful voice, the world at her fingertips, but let it all slip away as the world watched and in some cases ridiculed her. Moreover, I felt, as we all do, extreme sadness for her children who now have no Mother.  I remember playing Mindy's music at the country radio station I worked at in the nineties.  Back then Mindy opened for Garth Brooks, George Strait and many others until the hits quit coming.  Rest in peace  Malinda Gayle McCready
