The annual “Celebrity” luncheon  to benefit the Calhoun County Agricultural and Industrial Society and the Fairgrounds, will be held at Cornwell’s Turkeyville USA THIS Friday, February 1^st from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m..   Cost is $10 per person plus tips.  Call the Calhoun County Fairgrounds office for more info at 781-8161.

The Community Action Agency sponsors the “Walk for Warmth” each year in Barry, Branch, Calhoun and St. Joseph counties.  This year’s walk is on Saturday, February 23^rd  at various locations.  In Battle Creek, it‘s at First United Methodist Church downtown with registration at 9 a.. and the walk at 10.   The Walk for Warmth raises funds to help those with low-income, the elderly and disabled residents keep their heat on through the winter.    Get your pledge sheet at c a a s c m dot org and get more info on that site.
