I am mad about direct tv too. But I am going to hang in there and hope it gets resolved soon. If not I will consider changing companies. However I called in got a cust service rep immediately and told him i heard that I am able to recieve a discount on my bill due to the channels being turned off. He immediately said yes I can credit your account for 3 months at ten dollars a month. He also said without me asking that He will include encore and stars channels for the next 6 months for free. He said if this whole thing isnt settled soon they will also offer their customers more freebies to help deal with this change. he said encore has a kids channel and stars has a family channel. However, If i do decide to leave and they try to charge me at that time I will not pay the early termination fee as like everyone here says. they broke the contract not us. I just am going to try to stick with it as long as i can cause i really hate trying to learn and get use to new companies and their channels.
