ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) – Defending Big Ten Tournament basketball champion Michigan will get its season underway November 2 against Northwood in its only exhibition game. The Wolverines will start the regular season at home November 6 against Norfolk State as part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.
U-of-M takes on Villanova on the road November 14 in a rematch of the 2018 NCAA title game, hosts North Carolina in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge November 28th and begins conference play against Purdue in Ann Arbor December 1.
Michigan hosts Michigan State February 24, 2019 and travels to East Lansing to wrap up the regular season March 9.
Michigan State tips off the 2018-19 basketball season with an exhibition game against Northern Michigan October 30 at the Breslin Center. The Spartans will play Kansas in the Champions Classic November 6, Louisiana-Monroe in the Las Vegas Invitational November 14 and visit Louisville for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge November 27.
MSU opens the Big Ten schedule on the road against Rutgers November 30.
