KALAMAZOO/PORTAGE (WKZO) -- It appears that tension between Portage Superintendent Marsha Wells and School trustees have apparently led to the resignation of a second board president this school year. Trustees say Dale Posthumous walked out half way through a closed meeting to evaluate the Superintendent, out of frustration, and resigned soon after. Efforts are underway to fill his spot on the board.
Kalamazoo School Trustees held their own closed session to evaluate their Superintendent last night and came out with glowing praise for Dr. Michael Rice giving him Straight A’s on his annual report card, for his leadership in improving student achievement & personnel administration. Board President Molly Peterson says they are happy to have Dr. Rice on the job and that he is going to stick around.
