AUSTIN, TEXAS (WKZO) -- It may not be suitable for the whole family, but a film shot in Kalamazoo has gotten some good reviews at its first film festival in Austin. “Cherry” debuted last week. It’s about a college freshman on a heavy academic track who gets distracted by women, sex, adulthood, sex, girls and sex.

It was shot on the Kalamazoo College and WMU Campuses during the fall of 2008. The producers, Matthew and Jeffrey Fine were attracted here by the tax credits, and the traditional look of the campuses. It could get a showing in Kalamazoo later this spring.
