WHITING, Wis (WSAU) A police sergeant from the Town of Grand Rapids is facing a drunk driving charge from early Sunday morning.
29-year-old Rob Wiltse crashed into a tree at 1-30 AM while driving on Highway Double-H in Whiting. He suffered non-life-threatening head injuries and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Yesterday he was listed in fair condition.
His blood alcohol level at the time of the crash is not known. Blood was drawn at the hospital, and those results will be back in a few weeks, at which time the Portage County DA's office will decide on charges.
