(Maplewood, MN) -- The community of Maplewood is mourning after the shooting death of a police officer over the weekend. Forty-nine-year-old Joseph Bergeron had been on the force 26-years. The two men allegedly involved in the shooting both have criminal records. Twenty-one-year-old Jason John Jones was shot by a St. Paul policeman during a struggle. Meanwhile Jones' partner, 21-year-old Joshua Martin was arrested at an apartment complex after threatening suicide. Investigators are still talking with Martin to see what role he might have had in the killing of Officer Bergeron.
