Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - Members of the “Dangerous Dog Committee” held their second meeting Monday afternoon at City Hall.  The committee is still in the process of establishing what defines a dangerous dog, and will then determine how the city will deal with these dogs after they have been defined as “dangerous.”  Aldermen decided to establish this committee in early October after several hundred people showed up at city hall to protest an ordinance which would have targeted specific breeds of dogs such as Pit bulls for special regulations like fencing and insurance liability.  The council voted to kill that ordinance and the committee was established.  It consists of aldermen, dog owners, and officials of the Humane Society, who plan to have a first draft of the ordinance for their next meeting Monday afternoon.
