PARCHMENT (WKZO) -- The City of Parchment has finally gotten the green light from the state to begin knocking down the Old Crown Vantage Paper plants. City Manager Dennis Durham says residents should see dust flying as soon as they get the demolition contract approved.
They are working with a private developer who plans to work with other developers replace the old mill with brand new residential, office and Commercial space, about 100-milion dollars worth if all goes as planned.
Durham says of course that’s all subject to current market conditions, which are not great. He says nothing happens though until those old plants are history.
