KALAMAZOO -- Terry Kuseske’s battle with cancer has ended. The first term Kalamazoo City Commissioner, gay rights activist and long time community volunteer died Thursday in the hospice at Rose Arbor. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year and vowed to fight it, and fight it he did, but it’s a tough form of the disease to beat. Funeral plans are pending.
He was 61.
