CONSTANTINE (WKZO) -- They don’t say if police were chasing him at the time, but St. Joseph County Deputies say a Constantine man was killed when he drove off in a stolen car at a high rate of speed, apparently wasn’t used to the handling, lost control late Monday night as he drove west bound on Riverside Drive in southern St. Joseph County and slammed into a couple of trees and a power pole. Mathew Lee Nipper was pronounced dead at the scene. He was just 24.
