PAW PAW, MI (WKZO) -- It will be life without parole for Junior Lee Beebe Jr. who was found guilty of the most serious charge available to the Van Buren County Jury. He was found guilty of 2nd degree murder in the death of Amy Henslee, and first degree murder for the death of Tonya Howarth. The verdicts came despite the fact that the prosecution couldn’t explain why Beebe would want either of the women dead. It means some measure of closure for James Henslee, the husband of one of the victims, who says Beebe is getting what he deserves.
For Trisha Kraiger, Tonya Howarth’s sister, it clears her name of the allegation made by the defense that she shot Amy Henslee.Sentencing is set on September 13th. Beebe continues to maintain his innocence and an appeal will be sought.
