BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) - Friends say that David Harris and Ronald Carson used to be good friends but they let money and drugs get between them. Now the 56-year-old Harris has been charged in Battle Creek District court with bashing in the head of 61-year-0ld Carson two weeks ago. His family took him off life support this week. Police say Harris used a tire iron or a crow bar after breaking into Harris’s home on Goguac, leaving him lying in a pool of blood.
He had been charged with assault until Carson’s death. By video arraignment, he now stands charged with open murder.
