NEWTON TOWNSHIP - There were slippery roads this morning when a woman died as she lost control of her car north of Burlington in Calhoun County’s Newton Township and struck a steel post.
It happened around 7:30 on 11-Mile Road at F-Drive South. The victim, who was southbound on 11-Mile, was pronounced dead at the scene. State Police from the Battle Creek post are investigating. The woman’s name has not yet been released.
