CRANDON, Wis. (WSAU) – A 19-year-old Crandon man has been charged with killing his father last week in Mole Lake.

Forest County Judge Leon Stenz ordered that Dillon Wagnitz remain jailed on a $750,000 cash bond. Wagnitz is charged with shooting his father Kevin to death January 24th.

Dillon Wagnitz is charged with first-degree murder, attempted homicide, four counts of recklessly endangering safety, damage to property and having a loaded weapon while intoxicated.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 16th.

According to court documents, Wagnitz was drinking and left the Mole Lake Apartments looking for a weapon. He returned with a 20 gauge shotgun, pointed it at others and threatened to kill everyone.

Wagnitz then turned the gun on his father and shot him. He also fired other shots before wounding himself.
