PORTAGE, MI (WKZO) -- A Portage woman will be charged today with blasting her husband with a shotgun at close range early Sunday morning. The 22-year-old woman apparently quickly had a change of heart because police found them in the back yard at their home on Starbrook St. and she was busy administering first aid to the victim, who was bleeding profusely from multiple buckshot wounds to the chest and arm.
Paramedics were called, they rushed the 26-year-old victim to Bronson Methodist Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. Apparently they were arguing when she made her final point with the shotgun.
She is being held at the County Jail. Portage Police are seeking attempted murder and a felony firearm charges from the prosecutor.
