LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA -- A Michigan man will be charged with murdering his girlfriend, now that they have located her body, stuffed in suitcase. He will be in court this morning, following the grisly discovery of the body which had been dumped into a retention pond behind a Toys R Us in Hobart, Indiana.

Lake County Deputy Commander Rob Arnold says the victim has been identified as Dawn Marie Fital, a Champion Pool player from Pittsfield Township, near Ann Arbor.  He says they were led to the body by Greg Womack, who is in custody for the crime.

He says an autopsy is planned for Saturday, when Washtenaw County Investigators can be on hand, to confirm her I.D. and the cause of death. Womack will be in court in Indiana today for an extradition hearing that could send him back to Michigan to face newly filed open murder charges.
