The Minnesota Mothers Against Drunk Driving or MADD has recognized St. Louis County Judge Shaun Floerke for his efforts and dedication in keeping drunk drivers off the roads. Judge Floerke helped to found the DWI Court in 2008 which has had great success in dealing with repeat offenders in this area. The judge was honored at MADD's statewide convention on March 9th in Minneapolis. The Minnesota State Patrol's Sgt. Mark Baker says the number of drunk drivers has been reduced in recent years but a third of all traffic fatalities in the state are still DWI related.
