ANN ARBOR (WKZO) -- A plane crash near a runway at Ann Arbor Municipal Airport just before noon Thursday leaves the lone occupant with minor injuries. Witnesses report the man was trapped in the fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft for almost 30-minutes before Pittsfield Township police and fire were able to free him.
The airport's tower closed the airport to all air traffic, and it remains closed as the Federal Aviation Authority and Pittsfield Township authorities conduct their investigation. The unidentified occupant was transported to University of Michigan Hospital in serious but stable condition.
