KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- Presidential politics, the media, and the “Nine Nine Nine” tax plan were all addressed by Herman Cain on Thursday at the Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor and at the Holiday Inn West in Kalamazoo.
Speaking to a crowd made up largely of Tea Partiers in both towns, Cain expressed his support for Jack Hoogendyk, who is running against Congressman Fred Upton in the GOP primary this year. Cain says Congressman Upton has gotten too comfortable in Washington.
Cain said that Hoogendyk would be fresh blood in Congress who would champion the Nine Nine Nine tax plan. Hoogendyk says the deficit is the nation’s biggest problem. He says Rep. Paul Ryan’s conservative budget proposal doesn’t cut deep enough. He says they owe it to the grandchildren who will be saddled with debt otherwise.
