ALBION, MI (WKZO) -- Sunday was only a few minutes old when Calhoun County Deputies say a driver went out of control at 30 Mile and C Drive North and struck a tree.
The car glanced off the tree and rolled onto its side, trapping the driver. Sheridan Township rescue had to cut him from the wreckage and he was airlifted to a hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition for emergency surgery. They were also conducting tests to determine if alcohol was a factor, and the investigation remains open.
