SHERIDAN (WKZO) -- Just after midnight Sunday, Calhoun County Deputies say, a driver went out of control at 30 Mile and C Drive North and struck a tree.
The car glanced off the tree and rolled onto its side, trapping the driver. Sheridan Township rescue crews had to cut him from the wreckage and he was airlifted to a hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition for emergency surgery.
Investigators are conducting tests to determine if alcohol was a factor, and the investigation remains open.
