BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Firekeepers Casino Hotel held their grand opening ceremony Wednesday with a ribbon cutting and in the lobby and tours of the available rooms.

The ceremony also included the unveiling of the 7 columns representing the grandfather teachings of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi.

The eight story hotel has 242 rooms, an event center, multiple restaurants, and an additional smoke-free gaming area.
