SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO) -- A Van Buren County man has been bound over to be tried for three counts of Second degree murder for getting drunk and causing an automobile accident that killed three.
The Lawyers for 32-year-old David Johnson may be able to claim at trial that he wasn’t the only one at fault in the deaths of Brittany King and Kandice and Cassadi Berryhill.
It was revealed last week that the two toddlers were not in Child restraint seats, as required by law, and yesterday Dr. Stephen Cohle testified by phone that King, who was driving the second car, had enough heroin in her to kill a normal person.
He also testified that she seemed to have built up a tolerance, and police testified that it didn’t make any difference in the cause of the crash.
