UNION City, MI (WTVB) - A late night fire Wednesday near Union City destroyed a pole barn garage and damaged a nearby home and another pole barn. Lost in the blaze on 8-mile road in Burlington Township were two pickup trucks, a late model Camaro, a motorcycle, and assorted tools. The cause of the fire at the property owned by Ronald Watson is unknown but not considered suspicious.

A passing motorist spotted the fire and turned in the alarm around 10:45 last night. There were no injuries. Burlington and Union City firemen were on the job for nearly two hours after finding the structure engulfed in flames when they arrived on the site about three miles north of M-60
