STURGIS, MI (WKZO) -- We know it’s a crime to drink and drive, but when is it a crime to drink and walk? When you aren’t supposed to be drinking at all. Two 19-year olds walking with a male over twenty one were seen acting suspiciously near West and Center Streets in Sturgis on Friday. Police quickly determined that they were all very intoxicated.
Their blood alcohol limits ranged from .069 to .172, from just under the legal limit for an adult to nearly twice that. Of course for anyone under 21, any alcohol is illegal, both were arrested for being minors in possession, bonded out and given a court date.
