KALAMAZOO, MI  (WKZO) - The Kalamazoo County Board is scheduled to decide tonight whether or not to ask voters this fall to approve a 1/10th of a mill increase to fund a variety of programs to help the homeless, and those at risk of becoming homeless.

Community leaders and citizens have been encouraging them for months to let the voters decide.  The plan they will consider tonight is about a third of the size originally proposed by the County’s Housing Commission.
