RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) – A Oneida County judge has formally charged the county's medical examiner with criminal misconduct in office over allegations show stole a body part during an autopsy.

Forty-four year old Traci England of Rhinelander is charged with one count of felony misconduct in Office and a second count of misdemeanor theft of moveable property. Investigators allege England removed a portion of a spine during an autopsy in Fond du Lac. England told investigators she was allegedly going to use the body part to train a cadaver dog.

England's attorney waived time limits on her preliminary hearing today and no future court dates have yet been set. England remains free on a 5-thousand dollar signature bond, and is unable to work in the medical examiner's office or handle dead bodies while on bond.
