QUINCY, MI (WTVB) - A former Quincy Fire Chief who served the department for nearly six decades has passed away. Services for 87-year old Ray Sattler, who died Tuesday at home, will be Saturday at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy. The funeral is set for 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the services begin.
Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Fire Department. Ray Sattler, a 1943 graduate of Quincy high school, served with the US Navy Seabees during World War Two. He was Fire Chief for 19 years and also active in many other community endeavors, including serving on the Quincy Board of Education.
