KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- It is becoming one of the Midwest’s biggest exports, An American College Degree and WMU is doing its part to be competitive. International students pay full tuition and they don’t seek financial aid for the most part.
Western Michigan University has seen its international student enrollment grow by 12.9% this year, to a total of 1,575 students from 95 different countries. Alan Goodman, the study’s author says it’s a global world and students need to be ready. He says the world will truly be a better place for it.
On the other side of the equation, Kalamazoo College ranked #10 Nationally for the percentage of undergrads doing studies abroad. WMU says it has also seen an increase in the number of students studying abroad.
