DETROIT (1660 THE FAN) - The Lions went toe to toe with the best team in the NFL on Thanksgiving Day, and almost beat Houston...but almost doesn't count in football...so the Texans edged Detroit 34-31 in overtime. Both teams had a shot to win in the extra quarter, but the Texans' Shayne Graham made the best of his 2nd chance, giving Houston the win and moving their NFL-best record to 10-1. Matthew Stafford passed for over 440 yards and two touchdowns, one each to Calvin Johnson and Ryan Broyles, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Texans' offense. Detroit drops to 4-7 on the season, and it is the team's 9th straight loss on Thanksgiving Day.
