LANSING (WKZO) -- Plenty of extra police officers are on the road today through November 25th to watch for drunk drivers over the Thanksgiving holiday. Michigan State Police acknowledge that tonight is the "biggest bar night of the year" in a press release and say 166 people were arrested last year for alcohol-related offenses between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. An average Wednesday night nets 74 alcohol-related arrests in the state.
