PORTAGE (WKZO) -- There was hamburger all over the highway this morning in Portage. Police report that a truck hauling 41-thousand pounds of meat has turned over on the ramp from Southbound U.S. 131 to Eastbound I-94.

They warned morning motorists that anyone trying to use that ramp during the morning commute may want to try to find an alternate route because it took hours to clean up.

That includes anyone traveling from Grand Rapids to Detroit, or say anyone trying to get from Oshtemo to Galesburg using the highways.

The driver, a 37-year old from Florida, was admitted to Bronson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
