PORTAGE (WKZO)  --  It is the forerunner of most of the planes you see today. The Curtiss Robin was the first to have an enclosed cabin and among the first mono planes.

While it appears to be the same exact same style as every piper cub or a hundred other modern private planes, it was one of the first, manufactured in 1928 to deliver the mail, passengers and serve as an air ambulance.

The Kalamazoo AirZoo has acquired one of the historic pioneer aircraft on loan from Leon Andrews of Memphis for display in the Museum’s East Campus,.
