DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company is celebrating its best sales month in China on the strength of passenger cars like the Focus.

The Dearborn-based automaker says they had a 35-percent sales increase in September compared to last year.  Nearly 60-thousand vehicles were sold by Ford and their subsidiaries and to date Ford has sold over 428-thousand vehicles in the country.

China is the world's largest car market and is expected to grow even though the Chinese economy is struggling.
