COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP  (WKZO) -- A collision between two off-road bikes has left three people in the hospital.  Investigators say they may seek charges.

They crashed in the 55-thousand block of County Road 380 in Columbia Township, in Van Buren County. No names were released. There was a 26 year old from Grand Junction and a 20-year-old passenger from Breedsville on one bike and a 26-year-old from Bangor on the other bike.

A witness told Deputies that they were traveling in opposite directions on the roadway with their lights off in the dark just before 5AM, when they slammed into each other. Both bikes ended up in the ditch and the riders sprawled out on the roadway.

All three are all being treated in Bronson Hospital’s Trauma Care Unit for multiple injuries and all are expected to survive. Tests are being conducted to determine if alcohol was a factor. The police file will be forwarded to the County Prosecutor’s office for their review.
