OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WKZO) -- An Ottawa County Judge who got into hot water when he threw a rookie Attorney into jail for doing his job, now says he is willing to accept a 30-day suspension.
Judge Kenneth Post says its time to put the matter behind them. Judge Post asked the young client that Attorney Scott Millard was representing, when was the last time he used drugs. Millard advised the juvenile not to answer, because it was self-incriminating.
The judge responded sarcastically and held Millard in Contempt and ordered him to jail. The Judicial tenure commission not only agreed with the 2-initial charges leveled at the judge, but added a dozen more.
Judge Post’s response is to accept the original two counts. It’s now up to the State Supreme Court to decide whether to take his plea, hit him with all 14 counts or let it slide. There is no telling when they might act.
