CLINTON (WKZO) -- Spaghetti sauce was used to rob a bank in Clinton Township Saturday.
Authorities say the suspect, a 60-year-old woman, placed a cloth bag on the counter of the Fifth Third Bank on Harper Road and demanded money, stating there was a bomb inside the bag. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the woman fled in a vehicle, leaving the bag behind.
The Michigan State Police bomb squad was called to the scene and after scanning the bag discovered there were a couple cans of spaghetti sauce inside. The suspect remains at large.
