GALESBURG, MI (WKZO) -- It’s an extremely unusual case. A retired nurse who lives near Galesburg has been charged with four counts of possession of prescription drugs after police found over two tons of medical supplies stored in her barn.
TV-8 says 72-year-old Myrna Shelley reportedly told police her plan was to give it away to missionary groups, but they could find no evidence that she had made such arrangements. But they couldn’t find any evidence that she had sold any of it either. Among the drugs stored in the barn were powerful painkillers.
Police say it appeared the supplies had been stored in the barn for some time and most of it was no longer usable.
