Eli Young Band landed a coveted spot on Kenny Chesney 's No Shoes Nation tour this year, and the first few shows have gone very well for the Texas-based group.

Eli Young Band front man Mike Eli tells ABC News Radio, "Being on the Kenny Chesney tour is for us four, a dream come true and a huge opportunity.  We get to play in front of a ton of people every night that we're on this tour, and it's absolutely amazing."

Mike goes on to call Kenny "one of the nicest" and "hardest working" people in the music industry.

He says, "This is the tour that everybody wants."

Eli Young Band is taking this opportunity in front of so many fans to try out some new music.  They're currently working on the follow up to their latest album, Life at Best , and one new song, called "Drunk Last Night," has made it into the set list.

"You hear the connotation of the title, but it's totally different," explains the group's James Young , "and it's kind of awesome to sing a song like that in front of people that have never heard anything.  I think it's getting the best reaction of any first time song we've tried out on anybody."

Thanks to fans' smart phones and YouTube , people who can't make it to Eli Young Band's shows can still hear "Drunk Last Night."  Having the song already posted online is of strange for the guys in Eli Young Band.

The group's drummer Chris Thompson says, "That's part of the reason we started playing it, I guess, is to get it out there and get that reaction, but it's wild to think it's already out there in the ether."

Eli Young Band continues touring with Kenny Chesney Thursday night in Orange Beach, AL.
