LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- A couple of hundred residents rallied on the State Capitol steps on Saturday to demonstrate for common sense solutions to reduce gun violence. The sponsors are a group called Mom’s Demand Action which formed after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in December. Mid-Michigan Chapter founder Linda Brundage says they aren’t for or against the 2nd amendment, just for reasonable restrictions.
Their goal is to work at the state level to promote sensible gun laws. A counter demonstration organized by Michigan Open Carry was held nearby.
