LANSING, MI (WKZO) - A bill proposed in Lansing would create a state registry that would list Animal abusers. Similar to the Sex offender Registry, this one would have some differences.
The offenders would only stay on the registry for five years, during that period they wouldn’t be allowed to adopt any animals in Michigan. It would be called “Logan’s Law” after a Siberian Husky that had acid thrown in its face and died. That person was never caught.
Representatives Paul Muxlow and Harvey Santana are co-sponsoring the bill, which has just been introduced.
