FORT CUSTER, MI (WKZO) -- Peace protestors from several states are expected to converge on the Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek to demonstrate against plans to deploy a drone command and control center there. The drones will be remotely flown by technicians located in Battle Creek, but the planes themselves will be in hot spots around the world.
The protestors claim that the pilotless planes kill too many innocents and should be grounded. That it’s a weapon of terror that produces more terrorists than it kills.
The military says the drones cost less and save American lives. The protest is scheduled for noon.
