GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO) -- The West Michigan Better Business Bureau says it happens every spring, and because of the flooding, we could see a flood of scam artists hoping to pick up some easy money from desperate homeowners, looking for quick fixes. Phil Catlett says they promise the moon and leave you worse off than they began. They are called “storm chasers”, and they travel from disaster area to disaster area, taking advantage of victims.
They are ruthless to a fault, and their primary goal is to get your money.
He says only use local contractors, check out anyone and everyone on line or with the BBB, and remember that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
